The complex produces polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and its completion is being hailed as a significant step in the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), especially for the Central Asia region. It is expected to play an active role in promoting international cooperation in production capacity, and signifies that great headway has been made in China-Uzbekistan production capacity cooperation.

With an annual capacity of 100,000 tons of PVC, 75,000 tons of caustic soda and 300,000 tons of methanol, the complex provides local enterprises with essential raw materials.

A representative project of CAMCE since its entrance into the chemical industry, it won the Overseas Quality Project Award of 2020 in the chemical sector.

The project is the first PVC production complex in Uzbekistan and Central Asia as a whole. Uzbekistan is now independent of imported PVC and related chemical products, and can export them to neighboring markets. Tangible benefits have been seen thanks to the BRI project.

In addition, the project has cultivated a number of talents for Uzbekistan and created a large number of new jobs, thus boosting local economic and social development, which is also of great significance.
