China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC) has been actively participating in the Belt and Road Initiative and is committed to strengthening global energy cooperation. China National Electric Engineering Co., Ltd. (CNEEC), a subsidiary of Sinomach, has modernized the Uch-Kurgan Hydroelectric Plant in Kyrgyzstan. Unit No. 3 of the plant was successfully installed on October 20 and connected to power grid on November 7, reaching full capacity and entering a 14-day trial period, which marks the project's success.

Yan Weihua, CNEEC's General Manager, visited the site from November 8 to 12. The Kyrgyz Minister of Energy awarded Mr. Yan a medal for the Chinese company's contributions to international energy cooperation, praising CNEEC's professional expertise and pragmatic approach. This honor reflects the deep mutual trust between the two nations. During the visit, the team headed by Yan conducted a thorough on-site inspection, including safety checks, to ensure safe project management. The General Manager emphasized the importance of maintaining strict safety measures.

The team also visited the Kyrgyz national electricity company, the Ministry of Energy, and the national power grid company to discuss project progress, future plans, and potential collaborations. The Chinese Embassy in Kyrgyzstan conveyed a letter of appreciation from the Kyrgyz Ministry of Energy, commending CNEEC's professionalism.

Next year, the Uch-Kurgan Hydroelectric Plant will continue the work of modernizing its two remaining units, showcasing growing client confidence and CMEC's integrated capabilities.
