IPPR wins design contract for the Taihu Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion Project in Beijing
China IPPR International Engineering Co., Ltd. (IPPR), a subsidiary of Sinomach, has won the design contract for the Taihu Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion Project in Tongzhou District, Beijing. Covering an area of about 16,000 square meters with a treatment capacity of 16,000 tons per day, the project will adopt advanced processes such as "pretreatment + multi-stage AO biological tank + sedimentation tank + magnetic coagulation high-efficiency sedimentation tank + denitrification deep-bed filter." The project integrates smart renovation and photovoltaic power generation technologies, achieving both continuous operation during construction and energy conservation goals. As a key municipal project in Taihu Town, the plant will benefit about 48,000 residents once completed, significantly improving the regional wastewater treatment capacity and providing strong support for water ecological improvement in Beijing's sub-center. It is expected to become a benchmark for wastewater treatment upgrades in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
CMIE secures design contract for Kashgar University expansion
China Machinery International Engineering Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd. (CMIE), a subsidiary of Sinomach, has secured the contract for the planning and preliminary design of the southern expansion project of the Dongcheng Campus of Kashgar University in Xinjiang. The project covers a total land area of approximately 447,000 square meters, with a construction area of about 277,000 square meters, to be developed in two phases. Phase I will include the construction of training facilities, dormitories, student cafeterias, and academic buildings.
Guided by the "Smart China" development strategy, the new campus focuses on academic clustering. Leveraging the ecological resources of the wetland, the project will extend ecological corridors into the campus to build a green and eco-friendly environment. It will also incorporate intelligent photovoltaic systems, sunshades, navigation, and smart mobility facilities to establish a self-sustaining energy system, creating a model of intelligent and ecological campus development. The project will strongly support the high-quality growth of higher education and talent cultivation in Xinjiang.
