2025-08-29SINOMACH is pressing ahead with full momentum, securing a series of significant project wins across the energy sector, from storage systems to photovoltaic power stations.
Grid-forming energy storage project in Cambodia
China National Heavy Machinery Corporation (CHMC), a subsidiary of SINOMACH, has secured a contract for a 100 MW/200 MWh grid-connected energy storage project with Electricité du Cambodge. This landmark project, the first of its kind in Cambodia, will utilize advanced grid-forming technology and provide comprehensive services, from system design to operations and maintenance. It marks a significant step in enhancing the country's grid stability and power supply security.
Shared energy storage station in Ningxia
China United Engineering Corporation Limited, a subsidiary of SINOMACH, in partnership with a consortium, has secured the EPC contract for the Yuncarbon Green Energy Shared Energy Storage Project in the Suyin Industrial Park, Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui autonomous region.
The facility will deploy a 200 MW/800 MWh lithium iron phosphate battery storage system. Serving as key supporting infrastructure for the State Grid, it will help address the intermittency and volatility of renewable energy. By applying advanced electrochemical storage technology, the project will facilitate large-scale renewable energy integration and provide vital support for achieving China’s dual carbon goals.
Distributed photovoltaic project in Shanxi
China IPPR International Engineering Co., Ltd. a SINOMACH subsidiary, has recently won the EPC contract for a rooftop distributed photovoltaic project for Shanxi Xinyang Zhonglai Xinyuan Technology Co., Ltd. in Taiyuan, Shanxi province.
The project will install PV systems on the rooftops of the company’s factories and warehouses, spanning 146,000 square meters, with an installed capacity of 25.2 MWp. Operating under the “self-consumption with surplus power fed into the grid” model, it will generate about 28 million kWh of green electricity annually, reducing the company’s electricity costs by 30%. By revitalizing idle rooftop space and harnessing renewable energy, the project will contribute to low-carbon development in Shanxi’s Comprehensive Reform Demonstration Zone.
