Foundation laid for Sergio E. Bernales National Hospital project in Lima, Peru
A groundbreaking ceremony was held for the Sergio E. Bernales National Hospital project in Lima, Peru — an important livelihood initiative constructed by a consortium led by CMEC and Qingjian Group Co., Ltd. As a flagship project under Peru's "100-Year Hospital Plan", the facility is designed to alleviate the shortage of medical services in Lima and surrounding areas.
Once completed, the 74,800-square-meter facility will be one of Latin America's most advanced tertiary hospitals, with 599 planned beds and comprehensive functions including outpatient, emergency, inpatient, research, and teaching services. The project is expected to significantly improve the country's medical infrastructure and further deepen China-Peru cooperation in public health.
CMEC signs hydropower project contract in West Kalimantan, Indonesia
CMEC has also signed an EPC general contract with Tamaris Infrastructure, a subsidiary of Indonesia's Sanlim Group, for the construction of two hydropower projects in West Kalimantan.
This marks the first collaboration between CMEC and Sanlim Group in the energy sector, building upon their previous partnerships in urban water supply, photovoltaics, and food salt processing. The deal represents a major milestone in bilateral energy cooperation and lays a strong foundation for future joint efforts. CMEC has committed to meticulous planning and execution to ensure high-quality and timely delivery of the projects.
