The fifth meeting of the China-French Business Council was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on April 6. Zhang Xiaolun, chairman of Sinomach, attended the meeting as the representative of the Chinese member of the council and the head of the green industry and intelligent manufacturing working group.

Zhang said in his speech that the China-France Business Council has carried out a series of fruitful collaborations with the support of the governments and companies of both countries. He proposed three suggestions to further expand China-French business cooperation.

First, to further expand cooperation space and share the fruits of development. Given the current international political and economic environment, Zhang hoped that Chinese and French enterprises could jointly explore and innovate, strengthen cooperation in the industrial chain and supply chain, and inject new impetus into the development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and France in the new era.

Second, to enhance communication and promote innovative development, Zhang suggested that both sides should further strengthen exchanges and cooperation in industry cloud platforms, smart supply chain networks, intelligent factories, and smart agriculture to deepen the "green manufacturing cooperation partnership" between China and France and jointly create new advantages and new growth drivers.

Lastly, to expand the scope of cooperation and promote the early implementation of agricultural technology and advantageous agricultural industry cooperation. Zhang hoped that both sides could expand the scope of cooperation, and invite excellent French agricultural product companies to join the China-French Business Council so that a jointly-built healthy and stable international ecological industrial chain could be established.

The China-French Business Council was officially established on January 9, 2018, with the aim of providing a new platform for cooperation between the business communities of the two countries and establishing long-term and institutionalized dialogue between business leaders from both sides. As a Chinese member of the committee, Sinomach is committed to strengthening cooperation and innovation with French companies within the framework of the council, promoting the development of Sino-French business relations to a deeper level, and writing a new chapter of cooperation between China and France.
