CHTC Auto, an automotive manufacturer based in Suizhou of Hubei province, had sent three hundred customized vehicles for the Hajj, an annual Islamic pilgrimage, to Saudi Arabia by the end of April. After a massive export of passenger cars to the Middle East earlier this year, it is another success story of CHTC Auto in the local market.

The Saudi Arabia Hajj Vehicle is a high-end product independently developed and designed to meet customers’ needs by CHTC Auto, a subsidiary of China Hi-Tech Group Corporation (CHTC) and an affiliate of Sinomach. The vehicles will be used for the Hajj journey and also to pick up students from school.

They are equipped with automatic transmission, air suspension, an AVL automatic positioning and tracking system and special equipment for school bus transportation. The company’s working group conducted market research in Saudi Arabia to learn more about the environment the vehicle would be used in order to offer a better quality product.

The supply chain, production and logistics of the automobile industry have been battered by the spreading coronavirus pandemic. Faced with the challenges brought by it as well as difficulties such as a large quantity of orders but short production period, the company’s headquarters cooperated with its manufacturing bases to optimize the production process and elevate productivity, thus successfully completing all deliveries as scheduled.
