China National Heavy Machinery Co (CHMC), a subsidiary of China National Machinery Industry Corporation, signed an engineering procurement construction contract with PT. Aisatic Universal Indonesia on Nov 28.
The contract, which is worth $455 million involves the construction of coal processing, transportation and terminal handling facilities in the Kutai mining area of East Kalimantan province, a major coal production base in Indonesia.
Once completed, the project will help guarantee the fuel supply of power plants and the stable supply of coal exports from Indonesia.
