The construction of housing and medical facilities and the supply of power and water have been defined as key areas of cooperation between Sinomach and the countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, not only to develop the company's market and expand its business but also to benefit the people of the participating countries.

CNEEC inks a residential complex project in Iraq

Sinomach subsidiary China National Electric Engineering Co Ltd (CNEEC) has signed a residential complex project in Iraq via video links, a landmark project of the company's overseas housing construction and a further step in developing the Iraqi market.

The project will create jobs for local residents during construction, and once completed it will greatly improve their living environment. The project owner expressed a willingness to cooperate and share the benefits of development with CNEEC. The company will also continue to serve the Middle East market and strive for positive progress and mutual benefits.

Cambodia's friendship medal awarded to Sinomach subsidiary

Norodom Sihamoni, king of Cambodia, recently awarded Sinomach affiliate SUMEC Complete Equipment & Engineering Co (SUMEC CEEC) the Friendship Medal of Cambodia to honor the company's efforts in the construction of a water pump station and water pipelines for the Siem Reap Water Supply Expansion Project.

The water pump station and water pipelines project is part of the Siem Reap Water Supply Expansion Project undertaken by SUMEC CEEC, the company's first overseas water treatment project. At present, the project is more than 88 percent completed, ahead of the schedule..

Once operational, it will enable the region to access high quality running water and settle the long-existing problem of water shortages.

SUMEC CEEC mapped a detailed construction plan, including pipe laying, hydraulic testing and internal disinfection. The owner and supervisor said they are satisfied with the project's progress and water quality.

New energy materials project starts in Indonesia

Sinomach subsidiary China Machinery Industry Construction Group Inc (SINOCONST) has participated in a new energy materials project in Indonesia. The project was initiated and co-invested by GEM Co Ltd, a pioneer of exploiting urban mines in China, and some global new energy industry giants to produce lateritic nickel ores.

The project marks an important measure for GEM to realize a strategic layout of the global nickel resources. A company was specially established in Indonesia to better support the project's construction.

Constructions started recently, and SINOCONST will be tasked with the installation of 108 storage tanks and construction of a finished products warehouse. The 108 tanks will be a priority, and will require about 8,300 tons of structural steel for manufacture and installation.
