BMHRI cableways bolster China's ice-snow industry

Sinomach subsidiary Beijing Materials Handling Research Institute Co Ltd (BMHRI) has made great headway in cableway transport construction projects for the ski resorts in North, Northwest and Northeast China.
Adopting a vision of innovation-driven technological development, BMHRI has long explored the business of passenger cableways and developed internationally advanced technologies, which has elevated the core competency of China's cableway transport to a higher level.
As of now, BMHRI has built 89 detachable cableways across the country, 28 of them for ski resorts.

BMHRI has built the first detachable cableway for the Qishan Ski Resort in Laiyuan county, North China's Hebei province, which has been examined by the National Passenger Cableway Safety Supervision and Inspection Center. This type of cableway has one rope that acts for both carrying and hauling.
The cableway has an oblique length of 1,356 meters and a height difference of 262 meters, with a maximum running speed of six meters per second and a maximum one-way capacity of 2,400 people per hour.

The fourth single-rope cableway of Jilin Beidahu Ski Resort, undertaken by BMHRI, has been put into service, with a maximum running speed of six meters per second and a maximum one-way transport capacity of 2,400 people per hour.

Cableways W1 and W2 at a ski resort in Altay prefecture of Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, built by BMHRI, have passed the acceptance of the National Passenger Cableway Safety Supervision and Inspection Center.
The Altay ski resort covers a total ski area of 40 square kilometers, including a skiing park of 8.6 square kilometers and ski tracks of 5.35 square kilometers. In addition, it has open areas for free skiing that exceed 60 square kilometers, which makes it the largest and only world-class ski resort in China.

Cableways W1 and W2 have an oblique length of 1,968 meters and 1,897 meters, and vertical height differences of 439 meters and 463 meters. They both have a running speed of six meters per second and a maximum one-way transport capacity of 2,000 people per hour.
