Commissioned by Guyana's Ministry of Health, Enmore Hospital is one of the six regional hospitals designed and built by CAMCE. It was officially handed over and began operation in July 2025, becoming the second hospital delivered by CAMCE in Guyana. The project demonstrates Chinese engineering expertise and SINOMACH's integrated strength, earning wide recognition from the Guyanese government, the Chinese embassy in Guyana, and local communities. It also represents a concrete step in advancing the Health Silk Road, an extension of the Belt and Road Initiative.

In 2025, all six regional hospitals, developed by CAMCE and Sinopharm International, were completed and put into operation. Guyanese President Mohamed Irfaan Ali noted that the full operation of these hospitals will significantly improve national healthcare services and support the comprehensive upgrading of Guyana's medical system.
Spanning over 6,000 square meters, Enmore Regional Hospital features well-equipped facilities including registration, inpatient, emergency, and cafeteria areas. It operates a 24-hour emergency department and multiple specialized units, equipped with advanced medical devices from China such as CT scanners, digital X-ray systems, and mobile emergency equipment — providing integrated services from routine examinations and precise diagnostics to specialized treatment and emergency surgery.
Beyond infrastructure, the project also introduced hospital information systems, covering registration queue management, emergency calls, and electronic medical records. Long-term support for equipment maintenance and personnel training is being provided. The hospital's Medical Superintendent Tracey Bovell stated that many of these technologies are being introduced to Guyana for the first time, substantially enhancing the hospital's medical and nursing capabilities, aiming for deeper future cooperation in medical technology, training, and hospital management.
