Chinese enterprises are scaling up their business in overseas markets, and a growing number of cooperative projects have helped more countries and regions, including those enjoying a rich heritage left by the ancient Silk Road, enabling them to better participate in the Belt and Road Initiative.

The China-proposed initiative comprises the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road. Under that framework, Sinomach has worked with overseas partners to develop a major supply chain, an industry chain and logistics infrastructure to boost the countries' economies and contribute to the well-being of their local peoples.

CMEC builds large coal-fired power plant in Pakistan

The 330-megawatt Thar Energy Limited Power Plant (TEL), a mine-mouth lignite-fired power plant under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) at Thar Coal Block II, Sindh, has been successfully synchronized with the national grid.

Sinomach subsidiary China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC) participated in the joint venture as the EPC contractor.

The project started construction in May 2018 with the sponsor's equity to ensure a timely Commercial Operation Date (COD) and early utilization of local resources. Now, the project has successfully reached its commissioning phase and COD is expected by the end of this month.

The utilization of indigenous fuel will further revolutionize the Pakistani energy sector. It will enable Pakistan to become proficient in supporting its own energy needs through local resources, which will significantly decrease the country's import bill. The TEL power plant has also created numerous employment opportunities for the locals of Thar and adjoining communities.

Azerbaijan mainly exports fruits and vegetables to neighboring countries. In addition to ordinary farmland plowing and medium tillage, its tractors must be suitable for apple and cherry orchards. Given that situation, YTO recommended the YTO-NLY1154E tractor to dealers in Azerbaijan, and now the first ones are ready for shipment.
