Nigerian power plant installs high-capacity gas turbine 

The Abuja Independent Power Plant (Phase I), contracted by CMEC, has recently installed its 204 MW gas turbine, the high capacity of its kind in Nigeria. With a planned capacity of 1,600 MW, this project is a key component of Nigeria's national gas strategy and energy infrastructure development. Once completed, it will help ease local power shortages and support socio-economic growth.

CAMCE and YTO deliver and assemble 300 tractors in Nigeria

At the Jigawa State Agricultural Mechanization Center in Nigeria, China CAMC Engineering Co., Ltd.(CAMCE), a subsidiary of CMEC, in collaboration with YTO Group Corporation, have recently delivered and assembled 300 tractors on site. 

This effort has advanced CMEC's global equipment use, boosted local agricultural mechanization and strengthened China-Africa cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.

Botswana's 100 MW green power project nears grid connection

The 100 MW photovoltaic project in Botswana, designed by CMEC subsidiary China Machinery International Engineering Design & Research Institute Co., Ltd. (CMIE), is nearing grid-connection. 

As Africa's first 100 MW green power project under the Belt and Road Initiative, it will supply clean electricity directly to the Jwaneng diamond mine, significantly reducing diesel usage and supporting a green energy transition.
