At the commissioning ceremony, Angolan President Joao Lourenco led a delegation on an on-site inspection of the plant's facilities. President Lourenco spoke highly of the project, noting its strategic importance in deepening China-Angola capacity cooperation, strengthening Angola's industrial system, and promoting regional economic development.

The project is designed with an annual capacity of 120,000 metric tons of electrolytic aluminum. CAMCE-RC served as the general contractor for the supply, installation, and commissioning of mechanical and electrical equipment. To support smooth implementation, the project adopted an innovative risk protection model combining special insurance, overseas investment insurance, and export buyer's credit insurance. Through efficient coordination, precise strategies, and high-standard execution, the project was successfully commissioned on schedule.

As the largest industrial project currently in Angola, the successful commissioning of the project fills a critical gap in the country's aluminum industry, helping reduce over-reliance on the oil sector and supporting the development of a more diversified industrial system. The project is expected to create substantial employment opportunities, cultivate local technical talent, and drive the growth of the aluminum industry and related value chains in Angola and across neighboring African countries.
