The project involves the construction of new teaching facilities at six agricultural schools, including training classrooms, lecture rooms, laboratories, and supporting offices. As the first comprehensive aid project since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Honduras, IPPR has ensured efficient delivery with high professionalism and responsibility.

From farming to processing and innovation

One of the six schools—located in Atlántida, Honduras, expanded with Chinese aid, officially opened in December 2025, marking a major boost to local agricultural education.

All six schools, covering a total area of about 6,150 square meters, have been completed and handed over. They provide rural youth with greater access to high-quality vocational education.

After the expansion, each school is equipped with biology and chemistry labs, meat and vegetable processing rooms, and dairy training facilities, along with modern equipment such as microscopes, vacuum packaging machines, and automated milk fillers. These upgrades have significantly enhanced hands-on training and established a complete teaching chain from production to processing.

With these improvements, Honduras's agricultural schools are evolving from simply teaching "farming" to fostering "processing and innovation", laying a solid foundation for cultivating modern agricultural talent.
