On July 24, the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) Investment Promotion Conference was held in Hangzhou.

Automotive Engineering Corporation (AE Corp), a subsidiary of Sinomach, was invited to present its Hainaway Egypt Luggage Factory Design Project as a representative example of the company’s engineering service capabilities in the region. Mr. Waleid Gamal El-Dien, Chairman of SCZONE, also attended the event.

Located in the West Qantara Industrial Zone of SCZONE, the Hainaway Egypt Project covers a construction area of approximately 90,000 square meters. AE Corp is responsible for providing concept planning, engineering design, and other consulting services. Construction commenced in January 2025, and upon completion, the plant will serve world-renowned brands including Samsonite, Delsey, Swiss Gear, and Travelite. The project is expected to significantly enhance the global competitiveness of Egypt's luggage manufacturing industry, create substantial employment opportunities, and inject sustained momentum into the region's economic growth.

In recent years, China and Egypt have continuously advanced industrial investment cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative. AE Corp will further deepen its engineering and technical services in Egypt and other overseas markets, contributing to the global expansion of Chinese enterprises.
