SUMEC Marine seals new ship-building deals with domestic and international customers

SUMEC Marine, a key member of SUMEC Co., Ltd., recently signed a strategic cooperation deal with Wah Kwong Maritime Transport Holdings Limited along with the building of two Crown series 63 3.0 bulk carriers.

The successful delivery and operation of four Crown series 63 3.0 bulk carriers, jointly built by SUMEC Marine and Wah Kwong Maritime Transport, has received wide praise from the market. According to their new strategic cooperation deal, the two sides will work together over the building of another two Crown series 63 3.0 bulk carriers and explore the design optimization and performance upgrading of Crown series 63 bulk carriers, representing a symbolic move taken by them to usher in a new era of bilateral cooperation and promote their collaboration to a new height.

Meanwhile, SUMEC Marine reached an agreement with Japan's Kasuga Kaiun over the building of a Crown series 63 3.0 bulk carriers. It was the second time that the two companies had conducted cooperation in this year, showcasing the ship construction prowess and delivery quality of SUMEC Marine as well as the positive image of Crown series bulk carriers among industry insiders.

During the past years, SUMEC Marine has given priority to shipping research and development, promoted the integrated development of its ship-building and maritime transport businesses, achieved the upgrading and transition of its products, and moved toward energy-saving, environmental-friendly and low-carbon development.

So far, SUMEC Marine has delivered 17 Crown series 63 3.0 bulk carriers to its customers. After the signing of the two new cooperation deals, the company has received 66 orders of the building of Crown series 63 3.0 bulk carriers, whose durability period reaches 2028 and whose purchasers are from Europe, the Middle East, Japan, China's Taiwan region and Hong Kong special administrative region.
