The project includes a photovoltaic power plant with an installed capacity of 2,100 MW, and a 33/400 KV booster station and supporting switchyards. A global landmark project in renewable energy, the Al Dhafra PV2 solar project will become the world's largest single site photovoltaic plant.

It will generate enough electricity to sustain power for up to 160,000 homes across the UAE and reduce Abu Dhabi's carbon emissions by more than 2.4 million metric tons per year, which is equivalent to taking 470,000 cars off the roads. The plant will increase the share of clean energy in the UAE's total energy mix to more than 13 percent.

The hospital is one of the landmark projects of China-Dominica cooperation and an important livelihood project in the country. It is designed to be a first-class hospital, with first-class equipment and machines. These instruments and equipment are the most sophisticated and at the same level as in China.

The Dominica China Friendship Hospital is expected to bring much relief to residents and citizens of Dominica.

"The hassle and expense of having no choice but to leave these shores to access some forms of medical interventions will be a thing of the past. Because there are many citizens in this country who do not have the means of accessing medical care overseas and with this facility, you will have the ability to access it right here in Dominica," said Roosevelt Skerrit, prime minister of Dominica.
