The 2022 World Manufacturing Convention (WMC) kicked off on Sept 20 in Hefei, Anhui province. Themed "Manufacturing for a better world", the four-day event highlighted the latest products, technologies and applications in the manufacturing sector.

The convention, covering an area of 59,000 square meters, featured 38 key events, including seminars, thematic activities and project docking.

The 2022 WMC, offering a panorama of global manufacturing know-how and cutting-edge technologies from 641 participating enterprises, was co-sponsored by the Anhui government, various central government agencies and global industry associations.

Sinomach, also a convention supporter, presented 36 exhibits in an exhibition area of 2,000 square meters, showcasing its innovation achievements in equipment manufacturing, research and development results in agricultural machinery equipment, and key major equipment components, as well as its development of cloud platforms for the intelligent machinery industry.

In recent years, Sinomach has worked with Anhui to accelerate the province's development of modern agriculture and increase the incomes of local farmers by introducing advanced agricultural machinery equipment, fostering industrial clusters, and cultivating talents, as well as boosting sci-tech innovation such as smart agriculture.

Government data show that in the past 10 years, Anhui's industrial value added of enterprises with a main business income topping 20 million yuan ($2.81 million) each ushered in an average annual growth rate of 9.9 percent, ranking third in the country and first in China's central region and the Yangtze River Delta region.
