China CAMC Engineering Co (CAMCE) and Primesouth Lebanon S.A.L signed the Al-Doura power plant project in Iraq on April 28 via video connection. It is the first overseas major turnkey contract signed by CAMCE after the resumption of work and production, and is of great importance for shoring up its confidence in business abroad.
With the continuing spread of COVID-19 the successful signing of the project is the result of all parties having conducted thorough technical and commercial negotiations in a safe and productive way.
Located near Baghdad, capital of Iraq, the two-year project will undertake the design, supply, installation and construction of fuel oil generators with a total installed capacity of 640 MW, great enough to significantly improve the local people’s livelihoods.
