China National Machinery Industry Corporation (Sinomach) ranked 16th in the 7th (2016) list of China’s Top 500 Foreign Trade Enterprises released by the Statistical Society for Foreign Economic Relations and Trade on June 1.

In 2015, the value of total imports by China's Top 500 Foreign Trade Enterprises amounted to $751.73 billion, a three-year record set against a deep downturn in world trade.

The report indicated that Chinese foreign trade enterprises' concentration ratio of imports is higher than that of their exports. The import business is concentrated in the large leading enterprises.

China's total imports and exports in 2016 are anticipated to be roughly equal.
