Zhang Xiaolun attends inception meeting of B20 Italy

2021-02-10An inception meeting of the Business 20 (B20), the official G20 dialogue forum for the global business community, was held on Jan 21 to 22 in Italy. Zhang Xiaolun, chairman of Sinomach and co-chairman of the B20 Italy Finance and Infrastructure Working Group, was invited to attend the meeting via video links.
The working group on finance and infrastructure announced the launch of this year’s work on the evening of Jan 22, and Zhang delivered a speech at the meeting.
Zhang highlighted the intensified cooperation between the group members, saying that they should work together to develop concrete actionable policy recommendations and facilitate more green infrastructure projects to finance and carry out.
Established in 2010 and reserved to companies and business organizations, the B20 is among the most prominent G20 Engagement Groups. It consists of over 1,000 delegates from the G20 countries, including top executives from the leading multinational corporations, and counts around 3,000 participants representing an overall community of over 6.5 million businesses.
The B20 is entrusted with developing consensus-based policy proposals for consideration by the G20 and international organizations and institutions with a goal of promoting robust, balanced and sustainable growth of the global economy.
As the Chinese chairman of the B20 Finance and Infrastructure Working Group since 2016, Sinomach has continued to participate in the forum's various business activities which expand the influence of Chinese companies.
