January 8, on “China - Turkish Trade and Investment Co-operation Forum”, held in Istanbul, Turkey, CMEC and Turkey GALATA Energy Power Plant held the EPC contract signed ceremony of Turkey GALATA-SIRNAK Power Plant project. Chinese Minister of Commerce Chen Deming, Chinese Ambassador to Turkey Gong Xiaosheng, Minister of State for the Republic of Turkey Dhoiffir Caglayan and officials of Turkish Foreign Trade Department attended the signing ceremony.

GALATA-SIRNAK Power Plant is a 2 × 135MW circulating fluidized bed boiler power plant project. With a total contract amount of 355 million U.S. dollars, this is the largest one among all the projects signed between Turkey and China on this Forum, which valued a total of one billion U.S. dollars. This project has hence become one of the important economic and trade cooperation results achieved on this Forum.

In the past decade, CMEC has established good business relationship with Turkey, thanks to their dedication to brand, reputation, efficiency, quality, innovation and service. To date, CMEC has undertaken and signed three hydropower plants and seven thermal power plants in Turkey as EPC contractors. Since 2007, CMEC has also won a series of bids for 600 MW Supercritical Power Plants, which represents today’s highest level, and has thus gained a firm foothold in the Turkish market.

According to CMEC, China’s well-proven power plant equipment and experienced installation team can well meet the needs of Turkish investors.

At present, as one of the top Chinese contractors in the power construction in Turkey, CMEC has received recognition of both Turkey government and the owners alike, and the Ministry of Commerce in China.
