CMIIC Successfully Completed the Skeldon Sugar Factory in Guiana

      Recently, the world largest sugar factory in terms of single production line, i.e., the Skeldon Sugar Factory in Guiana, was successfully completed by the general contractor, China CMIIC Engineering & Construction Corporation.
      As one of the major projects under the sugar industry modernization program of the government of Guiana, this project has attracted a total investment of 110 Million USD. Designed with advanced cane diffusion process and high-tech facilities as well as highly automated control system, this sugar factory is capable of processing 8,400 tons of sugar canes per day to output 800 tons of raw sugar daily, which makes it one of the top modern sugar factories with best technologies and highly automated control systems in the world.
      The successful completion of the Skeldon sugar factory will enable a giant leap in the sugar refinery industry in Guiana, which is the nation’s important bread earner, and will in turn further propel the national economic growth in Guiana.
