Sinomach subsidiaries seek more cooperation with BRI participants

CAMCE brings forward delivery of Sri Lanka irrigation project

An important agricultural irrigation project in Sri Lanka undertaken by Sinomach subsidiary China CAMC Engineering Co Ltd (CAMCE) was recently completed, eight months ahead of schedule, with the owner issuing the performance certificate to the project team, a testimony to CAMCE's strength in water conservancy and project management.

The undertaking brought a large number of jobs to local people and has helped them get rid of the uneven distribution of water resources, injecting impetus into local economic development.

A typical case of boosting Chinese standards to go global, the project applied Chinese standards from feasibility study to construction design and implementation, promoting connectivity of standards between China and Sri Lanka.

SUMEC inks Vietnam paper mill project

Sinomach subsidiary SUMEC Group Corporation (SUMEC) recently cooperated with Vietnam paper manufacturer Hai Phong Hoang Ha Paper Joint Stock Company (HHP) to build a 100,000-tons/year paper production line and establish an agency relationship for products.

CHMC undertakes China-Cambodia bilateral seminar on electricity and energy

The China-Cambodia Bilateral Seminar on Electricity and Energy, hosted by the Chinese Electrotechnical Society (CES) and organized by Sinomach subsidiary China National Heavy Machinery Corporation (CHMC), was recently held to discuss topics in the power and energy sectors of the two countries, with a focus on the global goal of carbon peak and carbon neutrality.

The seminar shed light on the current situation, demand and planning of the power sector in Cambodia, and China's new technologies and breakthroughs in power and energy. It aimed to promote more extensive and deeper market cooperation between the two countries and also the high-quality development of the Chinese and Cambodian economies.

Speaking at the event, Wu Guoquan, economic and commercial counselor of the Chinese Embassy to Cambodia, said that power projects such as the CHMC Cambodian Tatay Hydropower Station have supplied Cambodia with high-quality and clean power and played active roles in its economic development.

As Cambodia is committed to improving and upgrading its industrial structure, accelerating its transition to a green and low-carbon economy, and achieving sound economic development, China will encourage more Chinese enterprises to intensify cooperation with Cambodia in the field of energy and participate in the local development and utilization of clean energy.
