Sinomach signs cooperation agreements with Uzbekistan and Guinea

China is pushing its new development paradigm of dual circulation, in which the domestic market is the mainstay and domestic and foreign markets reinforce each other, and the country will also seek to usher in a higher level of opening-up to further accelerate balanced and sustainable growth.

Sinomach as a leading central enterprise follows national guidelines, and continues its efforts in the high quality construction of the Belt and Road Initiative. The company’s subsidiaries recently struck new deals in overseas markets.

CNEEC signs Uzbekistan hydropower project

China National Electric Engineering Co Ltd (CNEEC) and Uzbek hydroelectric power producer JSC Uzbek hydroenergo (UGE) recently reached an agreement on building the RCT Cascade Hydropower Station.

The hydropower project, its financing approved by the Asian Development Bank, is located on the Aksu River in southern Uzbekistan. Upon completion, it will alleviate local power shortages and guarantee the stability and continuous supply capacity of the power grid.

CAMCE undertakes a mineral processing plant in Guinea

China CAMC Engineering Co Ltd (CAMCE) recently signed a deal to build a mineral processing plant in Guinea for the New Jersey Mining Company (NJMC), a gold producer headquartered in North Idaho, with a contract value of over $85 million.

The project, located in Guinea’s Kankan province, will see the creation of a gold concentrator with a mining capacity of 6,000 tons per day. It is expected to be completed within two years.

The project is another foray by CAMCE into the mining sector. It allows the company to expand its presence in the sector, and further enhances its competitiveness and influence in the mining field in Guinea and even across the world.
