China CAMC Engineering Co (CAMCE), an affiliate of Sinomach, signed a project for a general hospital in Pedernales, a city of Ecuador, with the Ministry of Transport and Public Works of Ecuador, on Nov 27. It is the sixth hospital construction project undertaken by CAMCE in the country.

A great earthquake with its epicenter in Pedemales badly damaged a medical center in the city on April 16, 2016. The hospital to be built will renew necessary medical and health services to the affected local people.
