Hao Peng, director of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC), went to the headquarters of Sinomach on Feb 7 to investigate its epidemic prevention and control work. Zhang Xiaolun, chairman of Sinomach, accompanied him and gave him relevant information.

During the visit, Hao inspected CHTC Jiahua Nonwoven Co (HTJH), a subsidiary of Sinomach, via a video connection. The company is located in Xiantao, Hubei province. He learned about the production of medical materials in detail and sent blessings to the workers fighting in the front line.

Up to Feb 7, HTJH has produced 993.9 tons of non-woven materials for protective equipment. It has also spared no effort in expanding the production of surgical masks with a daily production capacity of 500,000 pieces, and plans to achieve a daily production capacity of more than one million pieces by the end of February. The company is actively supporting production of the N95 mask and antiviral protective clothing, and is striving to realize maximize capacity. HTJH has strict requirements on the quality of its products, all of which meet medical protection standards.

Hao spoke highly of HTJH’s work against the epidemic. He stressed that the next phase of the epidemic prevention and control work is still formidable, and we must help resolve the present dilemma -- lack of protective equipment. He said that HTJH, the only central enterprise producing masks, should speed up production at a high-quality level to support front-line supplies.

Hao, on behalf of the Party committee of SASAC, expressed sincere sympathy and gratitude to the workers fighting in the front line, noting that everyone should protect their own health while doing their job well.

Zhang outlined Sinomach’s epidemic prevention and control work, saying that the company has always given priority to the safety and health of its employees, and takes winning the battle against the virus as currently its most important task. The company has made overall arrangements in a timely manner, and will continue to give full play to its strengths and advantages to meet the country’s needs.
