The 2019 US-China CEO Roundtable, initiated by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the China Chamber of International Commerce and the US-China Business Council (USCBC), was held on Oct 17 in Beijing.

The meeting was themed on enhancing communication and cooperation between Chinese and American industrial and commercial circles and fostering healthy and stable development of China-US relations. Representatives discussed companies’ opportunities and development strategies in the current international economic and trade situation, and exchanged views on issues of common concern.

Zhang Xiaolun, chairman of Sinomach, was invited to attend the roundtable and gave a speech.

He said that Chinese and American industrial and commercial circles should help promote cooperation between the two governments to achieve win-win results.

He also put forward two suggestions: first, Chinese and American companies should strengthen cooperation in third-party markets; second, Chinese and American industrial and commercial circles should function as a bridge for economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.

Liu Liange, chairman of the Bank of China, Miao Jianmin, chairman of the People's Insurance Company of China, Evan Greenberg, chairman of USCBC, and Joshua Bolten, president and CEO of the Business Roundtable (US), and other about 20 industrial and commercial representatives from China and the United States attended the event.

Sinomach is willing to join hands with American companies by giving full play to platforms like the China International Import Expo (CIIE) and the China-Belarus Industrial Park to help American companies conduct their business in China and other countries and take bilateral economic and trade cooperation to a deeper level.
