China Machinery Engineering Co (CMEC), a subsidiary of Sinomach, signed EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) and O&M (operations and maintenance) contracts with BGMC Bras Power Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur, capital of Malaysia, on May 31.

According to the agreement, CMEC will cooperate with its subsidiary in Hong Kong, China Machinery International Engineering Design and Research Institute Co and Mattan Engineering Sdn.Bhd to build a 45MW photovoltaic (PV) power station in the northern state of Kedah.

The construction is expected to take 14 months.

This is the third PV power station EPC project that CMEC has taken on in cooperation with its Hong Kong subsidiary and Mattan Engineering, following a 29 MW station in Johor state and a 45 MW one in Kelantan state.
