China National Machinery Industry International Co (Sinomachint) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Deutsch Messe, a world-leading producer of trade fairs, in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, on May 8.

According to the agreement, the two companies, along with Hannover Milano Fairs China, Guangzhou Lisheng Exhibition Co, and Guangdong Xinhaijun Development Co, will host the 2019 China (Shanghai) International Safety and Emergency Expo (CEFE Powered by INTERSCHUTZ) in Shanghai from Nov 5 to 7.

The expo is expected to cover an area of 20,000 square meters and feature six exhibition halls focusing on rescue, monitoring and warning systems, prevention and protection, emergency services, firefighting equipment, and high-end intelligent products, respectively.

Nearly 300 exhibitors and 10,000 visitors are expected to participate in the event.

Companies specializing in emergencies and rescue have seen rapid growth in recent years in China. The value of their industrial output reached about 1.35 trillion yuan ($196.9 billion) in 2018, with the firefighting sector accounting for 300 billion yuan.
