China CAMC Engineering Co, a subsidiary of China National Machinery Industry Co (Sinomach), donated around $10,000 to 45 impoverished students at Kalika Secondary School and Public College in Pokhara, Nepal, on Feb 4.

The company also donated books to 55 students, providing the course materials they will need for a whole year.

CAMC is currently contracted to build Pokhara International Airport, which is being constructed in the tourism hub of Pokhara.

The company completes its work to the highest of standards, and is also active in supporting local public welfare projects, said Ding Jian, Party secretary of CAMC.

I hope the students at the school work hard and develop the skills needed to support Nepal’s economy in the future, he added.
