CMEC institute form partner lab with HK university

2018-12-18China Jikan Research Institute of Engineering Investigations and Design Co (JK) based in Xi'an, Shaanxi province, will jointly develop a partner laboratory with the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), according to a partnership agreement signed in Hong Kong on Nov 15.
The firm is a subsidiary of China Machinery Engineering Co (CMEC) which is majority-owned by China National Machinery Industry Corporation.
JK's Key Laboratory of Special Geotechnical Properties and Treatment in Shaanxi Province and the Laboratory of Geotechnical Engineering Centrifuge at HKUST will form a partner laboratory and collaborate in scientific research, the training of professionals and platform construction.
The partnership aims to strengthen research links between Shaanxi province and Hong Kong and coordinate the innovation of laboratories in the two regions.
