A ceremony took place in Kratie province, Cambodia, on March 3, to mark the start of the construction of a 230kv power project by China National Heavy Machinery Co (CHMC).
The project will take three years to construct, which includes two transformer substations and a 275-kilometer transmission line.
CHMC has maintained a long-term partnership with EDC. Projects built by CHMC have covered all of the provinces in the country, with total investment of more than $1 billion.
The new project is expected to alleviate the shortage of power supply in the northeastern area of Cambodia and strengthen the partnership between the country and China.
