Liu Qun, chairman of China Foma (Group) Co, an affiliate of Sinomach, took part in the forum on Agricultural Collaboration in Support of the Belt and Road Initiative in Beijing on Jan 17.

The forum was held by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, attracting more than 130 government officials, scholars and entrepreneurs to discuss the ways in promoting agricultural cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.

At the meeting, Liu delivered a speech on Chinese companies’ overseas investment in forestry. He said that advanced planting technologies and scientific management are required to improve utilization rate of timber and achieve sustainable development of forestry.
