The second container train sets off for Central Asia from the logistical railway station of YTO Group Co, a subsidiary of Sinomach, in Luoyang, Henan province, on Dec 21.

Loaded with 45 containers, the train will travel around 4,000 kilometers to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

The first container train for Central Asia launched on Nov 6, delivering construction materials, fire-resistant materials and mechanical equipment to Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.

“It is a key step in YTO’s transformation from manufacturing industry to service industry,” said an executive of the company.

It has teamed up with the government of Luoyang and China Railway Express to build a multifunctional logistical center in Luoyang. It aims to serve as a window of opening-up for local businesses and help promote the development of international trade in Luoyang and neighboring regions.
