The China National Machinery Industry Corporation (Sinomach) added another glorious badge to its profile on Jan 9. The company won second prize for the State Science and Technology Progress Awards at the National Science and Technology Awards Conference held at Beijing’s Great Hall of the People.

The coveted award is to specially honor firms that have achieved great advancements in scientific and technological innovation.

Ren Hongbin, chairman of Sinomach, received the award speaking highly of the efforts made by the whole company.

"The award gives recognition for our hard work, and also marks another new start for our pursuit to attain better and faster progress in scientific and technological endeavors.”

Sinomach initiated its scientific and technological innovation projects in 2003 and has developed a distinctive R&D system. The firm, with more than 10,000 talented professionals, has set up 37 state-level R&D platforms over the years, in addition to winning itself 7443 authorized patents and 30 state-level scientific awards.

Sinomach will continue to seek solutions for the development of China’s mechanical enterprises, contributing to the national economy, defense security and energy conservation, said Ren.
