China electric apparatus institute wins innovation award

Three electrical standards drafted by China National Electric Apparatus Research Institute Co won innovation awards at the 2016 China electric appliance industrial standardization work conference held in Beijing on June 21. More than 150 standardization experts and representatives in the field of electric appliances attended the meeting. Several workers from the institute were awarded.

The meeting focused on harmonizing China’s standardization work reform with economic development, as well as implementation of the Made-in-China 2025, Internet plus and Belt and Road strategies. The conference’s work will speed up transformation in electric appliance development, upgrade independent innovation, and make the industry stronger.

A new conference council was elected, and the electric apparatus institute was appointed once more as the vice presidential unit. Chen Weisheng, vice-general manager of the institute, was reappointed as vice-councilor of China’s electrical equipment industry standardization work committee. The electric appliance parts standardization committee undertaken by the institute was noted for its excellence. Cai Jun and Huang Kaiyun from the institute were named advanced individual members. The awarded three standards are electrical product environmental conditions and technical requirements standards; the special campaign for consumer goods’ plug and socket safety standards; and GB/T 5171.1-2014 “Low power motor Part I: general technical specification”. Zhang Xuxing was recognized for his outstanding contributions, while Qian Feng was named an excellent individual among younger members.
