The chairman of the China National Machinery Industry Corp (Sinomach), Ren Hongbin, attended the first joint meeting of the B20 as chair of its infrastructure group, in Washington on April 17.

The joint meeting is composed of a plenary session and a group session. In the plenary session in the morning, Ren Hongbin gave a speech on structural reform. He said that structural reform is an important and basic condition for promoting the development of the global economic recovery, and the business community encourages the government of each country to speed up the pace of reform, and to increase investment in infrastructure construction.

In the group session in the afternoon, Ren introduced the achievements of the infrastructure group to the attendees, and summarized the core content of the five issues that had been put forward. The attendees discussed the five issues and gave their advice, after which Ren summarized the group session and outlined the meeting’s achievements.

300 business representatives from 39 countries attended the meeting.
