The CPR1000 forging surge lines manufactured by China National Erchong Group Co were sent to the Yangjiang nuclear power station, in Guangdong province, on Jan 13.

This is the first set of CPR1000 voltage stabilizer surge lines manufactured in China. They were completed in only eight months. Experts say the successful production of CPR1000 surge lines is a significant step, and fills a gap in domestic nuclear power production.

The surge lines, which connect the primary piping of reactor transients and the voltage stabilizer, are nuclear grade 1 and anti-seismic grade 1 equipmentin anuclear power station. The successful production of CPR1000 surge lines provides a reliable guarantee that the Yangjiang nuclear power station will run smoothly and safely.
