Zhang Xiaolun, chairman of Sinomach, attended the opening ceremony of the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2021 (BFA AC2021) on April 20 in Boao town, South China’s Hainan province.

This year’s theme is “A World in Change: Join Hands to Strengthen Global Governance and Advance Belt and Road Cooperation”.

As the highlight of the BFA’s 20th Anniversary Serial Events, AC2021 is of great importance to the development of the BFA itself and to cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region.

Against the backdrop of the heartless COVID-19 worldwide pandemic, AC2021 centered on the cutting-edge issues in global development and played a positive role in addressing global challenges.

A symposium was held by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council and Hainan provincial government bodies on April 18 to explore the roadmap to accelerate the development of the Hainan Free Trade Port (Hainan FTP). Zhang also attended the event.

The establishment of Sinomach Hainan Development Co, a regional headquarters in Hainan, marked a giant step of the company to meet the development needs of the province, expand business cooperation, build global agricultural trade and related industrial chains, and foster the import and export trade of the Hainan FTP by focusing on tourism, high and new technology and modern service industries.

Sinomach aims to participate in urban development in Hainan, boost the local exhibition economy, and work with the government and enterprises to build a healthy Hainan. It also eyes enlarging the influence of Hainan and optimizing the distribution of state capital by means of developing cooperation among central and local state-owned enterprises and achieving industrial integration and resource sharing.

During his stay in Hainan, Zhang also investigated a local agricultural products processing logistics park, attended the signing ceremony of the strategic cooperation framework agreement between Hainan Qiongzhong Li and Miao autonomous county and Sinomach Hainan Development Co, and visited the Boao Lecheng International Innovative Medical Equipment Exchange and Transformation Center.
